Week 15 Update

Down $1,482 Total Value $22,295/122%

Today my portfolio decided to take its lead from the broader markets, which meant big losses. The total loss for the day was $1,482 leaving the total value of the portfolio at $22,295, which is off of the high just set yesterday at $23,795. The converse relationship that my portfolio is beginning to make with the general markets, is why I need to sell-off the remainder of the portfolio.

52 Week High, Year to Date High, All Time High Week 15 update 3: 2 Day winning Streak.

Gain $58

Well the broader markets may have suffered losses but my portfolio still continues to make gains, although today's gains were moderate. At the close of the market the portfolio was up $132, but after commissions from selling off my other positions (the ones mentioned in the previous post) the true gain was only $58 (better than a loss of 58). I will continue to sell-off positions and begin to revert to my previous strategy of buying puts on equities, because I believe that equities are overvalued when viewed in a time period of 3-6 months, even in this SLIGHTLY bearish environment.

Week 15 Update 2........ALL TIME HIGHS

Today was a GREAT day for the portfolio with it at All Time Highs, valued at $23,737 which is a 130% gain. Im doing a massive sell off of most of my positions so that I can keep the gains.

Week???????????(15) update 1 I'm Back

Alright I haven't posted frequently in about 3 weeks (new site) so I'm going to update more.The portfolio is near all-time highs @ 21,031. I did sell a few positions and add more since the last update. Most likely I will sell off the remaining positions and revert back to the strategy I was previously using (buy puts and sell at 20%). I've employed a new options strategies that I havent used yet, the straddle. I'm probably going to also include some neutral strategies, iron condor butterfly spread, short straddle, etc (but I'm not neutral on the market I'm still bearish and have been bearish since November). Week 12 Update 3 Big Down Day again

Well after making gains of $4,400 the next day I have losses of $3,855. So volatile! I used the decline to add on to more of my positions. Yesterday I placed a sell order for WLT and DBC @ market it got filled.

Big Day.................................Down Week 12 Update 1, Fully Invested

Down $2,595 (Yikes)

Well the day wasnt pretty I was expecting to lose on these positions this week but all at once. I took the down day on commodities as a buying opportunities and I used most of my capital on $62 left. The portfolio was down 2,595 I knew the portfolio would have probably been down this week but I was thinking 1,500 and over the course of 5 days not 1 !!! I do believe the commodities are still what you want to be in and I will take the decline as an opportunity to buy more if I can raise more capital (as the case was for FXE and SDS I sold to get more capital to trade with). Dont panic and be patient it will come back!

The Streak Has Ended Down Day! Week 11 update & some Week 12 Trades

So it was a rough day for my portfolio which is down about $200 today. DBA and DBC traded down so I took that as an opportunity to add-on to my positions. DBP was up on the day but I decided not to wait any longer for the down turn and also added on to that position. The broader Market was down, which caused a lot of good stocks to trade down, so I actually bought calls on stocks (its been awhile). I placed a vertical Bull Spread on MTL MON and MOS. I bought 1 Mos Apr08 110 Call then sold after a few minutes because I decided that the bull spread is more appropriate, the same thing was done with MTL except I purchased the wrong month (I got March instead of April). I'm waiting on a decline in POT so I can enter a position. I have more trades on the way so visit often. Oh yea Congratulations to the Georgia Bulldogs on a great Win over Ole Miss, Next game today vs. Kentucky @ 9:45 Goooo Dawgs!

All Time High (AGAIN) Week 11 update 4

Gain of $160
Nothing special DBA DBP up and Portfolio @ All Time Highs. Next week I should be fully invested so be on the watch for Week 12 TRADES.

Still Going Up Week 11 Update 3

Although the Dow Nasdaq and S&P All closed to the downside, the DBC ETF kept going. DBC closed with a 1% percent change, bucking the trend of the broad equities makret.

DBA was down slightly on the day, about .36%. It's not as great as the DBC ETF but it's still performing

Yes, folks I'm still in DBP. Its been a slow mover but I only have 1 call option purchased (I was looking to buy more on a downturn).

These trades are up a combined 120%.

Also I'm looking to get into the energy trade, but I'm not sure if I'll purchase the DBE or just trade the commodities separately. I think UGA UNG or DIG (the leveraged Oil and Gas ETF) will looked very attractive with a pull-back.

Week 11 Update: All time High for Portfolio & DBC up 170%

The portfolio is at All-Time Highs up 92% since starting. DBC is up 170% and DBA is up a modest 17%and DBP down 4%.

Week 10 Update 3 Monster ETF DBC Still going %145 and Week 10 Trades

DBC is still up this is a solid pick, up 145% since purchased! Portfolio @ All time Highs and more picks added. Like I said earlier this week I was looking to buy DBA and DBP on dips and thats what Im doing. Im buying the DBA April 41 Calls and the DBP July 31 Calls. I purchased about $500 worth of each waiting to buy more.

Week 9 update

SOLD -7 DBA 100 APR 08 41 CALL @2.92. I still have DBC with a profit of about 50%

Week 9 Update 2 DBC DBA up 60%

I great day for commodity etfs and the portfolio has recovered its overall losses and Is near all time highs.

I sold DBP DBE and SDS but held on the DBC and DBA

DBP was sold for a loss of a bout 3%

DBE was sold for a profit of about 16%

and SDS was sold for a loss of nearly 70% (oops)

DBA and DBC trades are still active and have a profit of about 60% each.

The total value of the portfolio is $18,100

Week 9 update 1 DBA up 80%

The commodity efts were on fire (except for dbb and dbp). They were a great pick on my part wheat hit all time highs and natural gas hit its highs of the. I sold off my dbb and March dba positions.


DBA was sold for a gain of 81%
DBB was sold for a loss of -15%

So my portfolio looks like this
DBA(April): 31% gain
DBC: 17% gain
DBE: 4% gain
DBP: -15% loss
SDS: -74% loss
